I’ve been looking into fitness programs, and came across crossfit. I hear it’s a more serious workout program. I saw some videos of people doing it, and it looks kind of dangerous. Is it dangerous or did I just come across something different? I can’t find the video I saw though.
I don’t think it’s dangerous. As it is a new workout for you, ensure that your posture is correct. Do it under the guidance of a trainer and you should be fine. Start with basic exercises and gradually increase the difficulty level.
It can be dangerous if you are out of shape and just starting out. Some people overdue themselves and end up in the hospital from it. Just take it slow. You can always speak with your doctor prior to starting.
Crossfit is great for getting in shape, but yes it can definitely be dangerous because of the wide variety and type of exercises involved. You have to start out slow and focus on technique. Like with any workout, you have to make sure you are properly warmed up and stretched out before you go into it.
