My sister is into fitness like myself, but these days she still thinks she’s fat. So she will try to workout even more. How do you go about helping someone in this situation? We’ve tried to have an intervention to push her to take a break, as she’s already skinny. I’m just worried she’s going to end up dying because she won’t stop.

Any tips and suggestions to help her? We’ve suggested therapy and all that, but she doesn’t seem to care what we think.

Does she suffer from anorexia? To me that’s what it sounds like. Have you tried an intervention? Maybe just let her know how it makes you and the family feel. Let her know you’re scared she’s hurting herself. Have you guys asked her what’s going on in her life? Maybe there’s a reason she’s forcing herself to workout so much.

I don’t really know what else to do to be honest. I wish you luck on getting help with this.

I have a female friend that had anorexia, she overtrained all the time by years.
When finaly she started to feel sick, she went to doctor, then all we realized she had anorexia, she only stopped then. Friends and all her family supported her and she realized how important she is for everyone, it was her motivation to recover. But she had to be caught in the doctor visit, couldnt hide it anymore.
