I am looking to switch things up. I have been using a treadmill to lose weight and I am frankly bored of it now and since the weight stopped coming off, I think I need to switch things up.

What would you say is the best cardio overall for health and weight loss?

All forms of cardio have their advantages and disadvantages. IMHO the most important thing is do find a form of cardio that you will do with intensity on a consistent basis. If you enjoy swimming and work at it then stick to that program.

I think it was called scattered intensity cardio? It’s when you keep a minimal jogging speed the whole time, but periodically speed up to a sprint for 1 minute, then return to jogging speed and repeat.

Running. because that gives you a full body workout and it’s gets your heart rate pumping. : ) good luck

This is dependent on your age for a start as too much impact, for example running on road can give you possible shin splints and knee joint problems

Running, not jogging, is the best form of cardio exercise in my opinion. You do not have to do all out sprints, but running at a brisk pace for 200 to 400 meter intervals (with ample rest in between), is really effective at both weight loss and improving the strength of your heart.
