I was looking at a price for gyms and Planet Fitness was pretty cheap. I asked my buddy if he wanted to join but he said it sucked and to join 24 hours. What are your thoughts on this? If it sucks then why?

I only ever went as a guest twice and it is a decent place but not for me. I prefer local smaller gyms with fewer people around. There are plenty out there that stay open 24/7 as well so it is worth looking into all your options.

Planet Fitness is becoming a commercial gym. They are sucking your money for their shitty service.

They removed squat racks in the gym for safety reason. And a gym without squat rack is not a gym. They provide pizzas and cookies at the end of every month. So you can get fat and pay them again.

I never heard of planet fitness. I go to the gym at the hospital. They don’t discriminate. You could be healthy, fat, fit, dying, black, white, green or whatever, doesn’t matter. That’s what i love about it.

On the upside, they’re cheap and their equipment is decent. On the downside they cater to LGBT special interests and allow men to use the womens locker room and bathroom. They also cater to people want to feel good about going to the gym but don’t really want to workout.

I’ve been to Planet Fitness before. In my opinion, it is not as bad as everyone says it is. It’s just a gym catered towards people wanting to lose weight. They do not have free weights other than dumbbells (at least at the one I went to) but they do have plenty of machines, including smith machines for doing squats, deadlifts, bench press, etc.
