I’m trying to build muscle, I lift weights and do push-ups daily, and use gnc amplified mass xxx. Is it better not to work out every day? Should I work out if I’m sure? And does thc or tobacco cause you to slow your muscle growth?
It’s ok to workout everyday (almost) but you should focus on different areas of the body each workout. For example Arms on Monday, Back on Tuesday etc. You should also have at least one rest day a week to let your body recover.
Does tobacco slow muscle growth? Probably – There is evidence it damages muscles in relation to blood vessels and oxygen limiting. Please quit as it’s bad for you.
Sean is right, you need at least one rest day for each muscle group so your muscles have time to adequately recover in preparation for your next workout.
One tip for building muscle is to focus on doing your exercises in the 8 to 12 rep range. Doing too many or too little reps in each set is not optimal for hypertrophy.
