Will a Bowflex machine be a good option?

My neighbor has an old Bowflex machine that she is giving away, and I think I’m going to take her up on it. Would a bowflex machine be a good workout tool? I have some room for one, so I could make it work. I’m always for building some muscle too. Just hope I don’t get too strong haha!

I can’t see it hurting to try. Bowflex makes all kinds of weight machines. I used to own one, but they do take up a lot of space. I would recommend cardio and other such things before doing weight training. A bowflex is good for gaining some muscle.

Bowflex machines are good if you have no other options, which is your case. For workouts, you’ll want to designate a day to certain body parts. I’ll give an example of a simple week, this is just an example…

The bowflex is more or less a cable weights system for the home, it does provide resistance which (when used correctly) will tear muscle fibers and cause you to gain size.

The bowflex will work if you are trying to tone up and burn fat. if youre looking to build mass and bulk up its not going to help much. that would take free weights. but if youre just looking to get back in shape then yes bowflex WILL work if you have a good diet with it.

Yes it will work on you, the ads just talk more about weight loss because there are more people who want to lose weight, so that’s who they market it to.
