I believe the barbell curl builds muscle a bit better. But that’s how I feel compared to concentration curls. I would say both work wonders and should help build muscle either way. But personally I would go with barbell curls instead.

I used to be heavy as well, and my friend gave me the best advice. He told me, to start with something you would like to do. Maybe it’s a sport, a hobby that gets you outside, or something that just gets you moving more. For me, I took up bowling for a while. I wouldn’t say it helps you lose a lot of weight, but it got me moving. That was the start.

Start something simple, maybe play something like bowling or find a hobby where you can walk around. Maybe go fishing, try a new sport, etc. Just start off slow and simple. Don’t push yourself too hard either. My motivation came when I saw I was doing things outside, in the real world, and it helped me get into fitness and eating healthier.

It’s the small steps that help, it’s just how you continue is what makes you. Good luck! 🙂

Just a nice form fitting t-shirt, and some shorts. Pretty simple for me. I know some people like to wear yoga pants and tighter fit clothing. But I don’t mind wearing a standard shirt and shorts.

Walmart has some good stuff, but you’re better off looking into underarmour clothing, as they make a lot of clothes for working out.

For being just 13 you do quite a bit. The best thing you can do, is eat food high in protein. Eggs is a good start. Protein shakes can work, but I would skip them if you’re only 13 years old. Some other foods high in protein would be almonds, chicken, cottage cheese, some yogurt, lean beef, and so on.

The workouts you’re doing is more than enough, but it also comes down to eating food high in protein so your muscles have the chance to grow.

Eggs are great and highly recommended. There’s a lot of misinformation about eggs. Some say it’s bad, others say eggs are super healthy. I’m with the others when they say eggs are super healthy. Because they are. Like Jerry said above, eggs are high in protein, vitamins and minerals. I eat eggs daily, every morning to be exact. It makes for a great breakfast.
